Pictograms or dot pictos, are just signs that live together with us in our world. We see them in the street, in the airport, in the products we buy... they are all around us, they tell us information, they tell us what we can do, what we can' t and so on. So, with this open source of information and design, pictomachine TM, becomes a projet of investigation, collection and creation of new ways to see pictograms.

pictomachine TM beleives meaning changes when we see things in an other point of vue. That is the mission of pictomachine TM, playing with design and information for creating new figures upon this universal pictures.

This year 2008, Pictomachine`s productions will search to improve originality and fun stuff for his public.

Melisa Machuret, colombian and french artist. was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She began studying arts in the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, in cinematography studies. In 2001 she moved to France where she studied art and robotics in L´école d´Art d´Aix-en-Provence. She specialized in photography in L´école National des Arts Visuels La Cambre, Bruxelles.

Her works includes illustration, photography and animation. She began her research about dotpictograms in 2003. Learning about traditional and classical and also contemporany figures in art, her works shows reproductions of reality that changes their language, sensibility.

Actually she lives in Bogotá, Colombia, where she works as an art director in branding design.
